To help us shape and secure the future of the area as a top UK tourist destination we invite you to join us at one of our workshops taking place this June and July.
Business Improvement Districts can be designed to help enhance local businesses’ trading environment, support and create new events, act as a collective voice and lobby for changes that will positively impact businesses.
It is important that what the BID looks to deliver is representative of what businesses in all the coastal towns and villages want to achieve. As a Destination BID, we have a collective aim to increase visitor numbers to the coast, and increase length of stay and spend.
We are now starting to create a 5 year business plan that represents key projects and initiatives that you as business owners and managers deem important and we want to make sure that our strategy for the future has a meaningful focus so we can ensure that you receive a return on your investment.
Come along and have your say about what you think the priorities for the BID should be.
During the Workshop we will be covering 5 areas:
· What are Business Improvement Districts and examples of existing Destination BIDs around the UK
· The Yorkshire Coast as a key visitor destination
· Research and initial consultation feedback
· Idea Generation and priorities
· What’s next – timescales, business plan and the vote.
You will find details of all the dates and locations of the workshops taking place on Eventbrite or if you are unable to attend but would like to share your views and ideas please contact a member of the team for more information
